Nampak formed a joint venture with the German-based Wiegand-Glas, which was established in 1593. As of 1 March 2012, Nampak acquired the remaining 50% shareholding in Nampak Wiegand Glass from Wiegand Glass. The business will be known as Nampak Glass.
Our world-class manufacturing plant in Roodekop, Gauteng is equipped with the very latest in international technology and we are proud of our high operating efficiencies, which are in line with the best figures benchmarked worldwide.
We provide our customers with an extremely diverse range of award-winning glass products. The flexibility of our range has been further extended, as a result of our rebuilt and enlarged furnace.
We operate a state-of-the-art, in-house design and testing operation, where we assist customers with bottle inception, technical drawing and design requirements as well as trial mould testing, which are vital phases of the design process.
